The church, built of stone and cold, was erected in 1807 with funds from landowner Chirikova, and the parish was opened in the same year. The temple has three altars: the main, cold one, is dedicated to the Holy Trinity, while the side, warm ones are dedicated to Archangel Michael and Saint Barbara the Great Martyr.

The village has 187 households, with 793 men and 715 women, all Great Russians and farmers. Half of them own plots of 2 desyatinas and 24 sazhenes per soul, while the other half of the peasants do not own land.

The parish includes the village of Soldatchina with 73 households, where 241 men and 253 women live, located one verst from the church. There is a small estate of the Maslov family in the village. The Vorona River flows 2-3 versts from the village, along its banks stretches the landowner's forest.

There is a church parish school, a single-complete and mixed one, as well as church parish guardianship. Since 1828, inventories of church property and metric books have been maintained. The church library holds 196 volumes.

The church staff includes a priest and a psalmist. The clergy has estate land of 2 desyatinas and 20 sazhenes and field land of 30 desyatinas and 200 sazhenes. The sandy and low-fertility land, located 4-5 versts from the church, brings an annual income of 170 to 200 rubles. The brotherhood's annual income is 520 rubles, and the parish capital is 500 rubles.

The parish is located 14 versts from the station and the city of Kirsanova, 2 versts from the reception room and a small hospital, where there is also a market and volost administration. The nearest church is in the village of Ust-Orzhevka, 1 verst away, the deanery is 34 versts away, and the city of Tambov is 104 versts away.
