The village of Borisovo is located 40 versts from Vladimir and 8 versts from Suzdal, on the left bank of the Nerl River. Until 1861, Borisovo was a village that, along with other villages such as Turovo, Kholoda, Khlamovo, Palkino, Isady, Pekol, and Patrikovo, belonged to the parish of the Trinity Church of the Zaprudye pogost. This pogost was located 5-8 versts from the villages and was separated from them by the Podyks River. Due to the remoteness and difficulties in reaching the church during the spring floods, the peasants decided to build a new church in Borisovo, which occupied a central position in the parish. In 1861, a stone church was erected in Borisovo, and the old wooden church in Zaprudye ceased to exist.

The church in Borisovo is built of stone, has five domes and a bell tower, and is surrounded by a stone fence with iron grilles. The church has three altars: in the cold part, in the name of the Holy Life-Giving Trinity, in the warm refectory, on the right in honor of Saint Dmitry, the Rostov Miracle Worker, and on the left, in the name of Saint Nicholas. All church documents are preserved: copies of the metric books since 1802, confession lists since 1820, and an inventory of church property compiled in 1871 is kept in the sacristy.

The church land consists of 70 desyatins and 2340 square fathoms, located in two places: in the village of Borisovo and in the Zaprudskoye wilderness, where the parish church was previously located. All land plans and boundary books are kept in the church. According to the staff, the parish includes a priest and a psalmist. The annual income of the parish amounts to about 450 rubles in silver, including interest from church capital, income from land, and fees for services. The parish houses are located on church land. The parish includes the village and 7 villages, with a total of 192 households, 586 men, and 573 women.
