In the village of Lugovoe, on a high bank of the Tura River, stands an old wooden building of the Holy Trinity Church, which is now partially ruined. Its history dates back to a distant past, although the exact date of construction is unknown. The first mention of the parish dates back to 1786. The church, built with the funds of parishioners, has one dome and a bell tower. It has two altars: in honor of the Holy Trinity and Saint Catherine the Great Martyr.

Some clergymen of the church are known. From February to September 1890, Priest Alexey Loporsky served here, and from September 1890, Nikolai Karpov. From 1909 to 1929, Ioann Flegmontovich Kuznetsov served, having completed two classes of the theological seminary in Tyumen. During this time, a church school operated at the church, where children were educated. In 1937, Father Ioann was arrested by the NKVD and executed.

After 1929, the church was closed. According to local resident Antonina Platonovna Kukhtarina Urosova, first the crosses were removed from the domes, the bells were taken down, and then books and icons were thrown out of the windows. People collected what they could, but the further fate of these relics is unknown. After its closure, the church was used for various purposes: as a village club, a library, and then as a grain storage, which severely damaged the building.

Currently, restoration work on the church has begun. In the spring of 2009, a warm trailer was installed for conducting services. Local residents are engaged in improving the area around the church.

In 2008, the day of the Holy Trinity was celebrated for the first time in many years in the partially ruined building with the reading of the Akathist. On October 25, 2009, a religious group of the Holy Trinity Church was established in the village, which is affiliated with the parish of the Holy Nicholas Church in the village of Kulakovo.
