In the village of Lavrentyevsk, known as Rozhdestvo-Bogoroditskoye, there are two stone churches. One of them, warm with a stone bell tower, was built in 1838 through the efforts of the parishioners. The second, cold, without a bell tower, is dedicated to the Holy Life-Giving Trinity, but the exact date and author of its construction are unknown. The churches are surrounded by a stone fence with an iron grille, and the cemetery is located within this enclosure. In the 17th century, the village was part of the Chukhloma siege of the Galich district. In 1628, a church "The Nativity of the Most Pure Theotokos and the finding of the Honorable Head of John the Baptist" is mentioned in the Valuyevskaya volost, in the estate of Grigory Makov. On March 9, 1652, a blessed decree was sealed at the request of Grigory Maikov for three altars: of the Life-Giving Trinity, Saint Sergius the Wonderworker, and the Holy Martyr Gregory of Greater Armenia in his estate in the village of Lavrentyevsk. In 1676, instead of Valuyevskaya volost, it is mentioned "in the Chukhloma and Usolsky outskirts in the village of Lavrentyevsk."
