The Holy Trinity Church, built of stone and having three altars, was laid in 1841. The chapel dedicated to the Great Martyr Catherine was consecrated in 1844, and the main church in honor of the Holy Life-Giving Trinity in 1857.

In June 1932, the church was closed due to its Sergiev orientation. After that, a restaurant was placed in the Catherine part, and a stage for a club was set up in the altar area. In 1937, the building was temporarily used as a warehouse for the property of the churches in the Sukholosh district.

In 1941, a school for female telegraphists was opened in the church, and one of the battalions of the 93rd separate rifle brigade began to form.

Until 1974, school workshops with metal-cutting and woodworking machines operated in the Sretensky part of the building. The central, Trinity part housed a school gym. In the 1970s and 1980s, the building was used as a warehouse for the state farm.

In November-December 1996, more than 800 residents signed a letter requesting the revival of the Holy Trinity Church. In January 1997, activists sent a petition to the Diocesan Administration for the opening of a parish in the village of Kuryi. On May 17, a meeting was held where a parish council and an audit commission were elected. On June 16, on the Day of the Spirit, the first service with water blessing and a procession took place. On February 5, 1999, under public pressure, the church building was transferred to the Kuryi parish.

On December 19, 2004, regular services resumed in the church. Parishioners and the local administration are actively engaged in restoration work.
