Church of the Holy Trinity in Kubenskoe

Фото 1
The church of the second Kubenskoe parish served the residents of nearby villages. This brick two-story church, built in 1760, is decorated in the style of Vologda baroque. The main part of the building is a two-light square with an octagon on the dome. The narthex and bell tower, designed in the classical style, were added in 1812. The lower part housed the altar of John the Merciful. The church was closed no later than the 1930s, and its domes were destroyed. The building was used as a club, production facility, and household services. In the second half of the 1990s, the church was returned to the faithful, and the bell tower was restored in the late 2000s.
