Kostino, a village in the Petushinsky District of the Vladimir Oblast in Russia, is part of the Petushinsky rural settlement. It is located 7 km north of the M7 "Volga" highway, which connects Moscow and Ufa, and 12 versts from Pokrov, approximately 115 versts from Moscow, near the Barsky pond on the Mergel River. The nearest settlement is the village of Popinovo, located half a kilometer to the south, on the road to Staroe Annino. 1.5 km north of Kostino is the village of Novy Spas.

Since the 18th century, Kostino was the estate of the Trubetskoy princes. In 1840, they sold it to merchant Kharitonov, and later, during the construction of the Nizhny Novgorod railway, the estate was acquired by industrialists Vysotsky and Vasily Sabashnikov. Later, Vasily Sabashnikov bought out Vysotsky's share, and the estate passed to his children. In 1893, during the division of property, it was inherited by brothers Mikhail and Sergey Sabashnikov, known publishers. They built the Church of the Holy Trinity in Kostino. According to some sources, this happened in the late 19th century, while others state it was in 1912. There are also differing opinions on the status of the building: some sources refer to it as a chapel, while others call it a church, mentioning the priest's surname.

The church has one dome and is a single-volume square with a lowered rectangular apse. It has survived to this day and continues to operate, although the original completion with a drum and dome has been lost.
