The church is located in the center of the settlement and was built in 1890, when the village was thriving and had a permanent population of about 1000 people. At that time, there was also a church parish school operating here. In the 1930s, with the advent of Soviet power, the church managed to avoid the fate of many other temples that were closed or destroyed. It survived the Great Patriotic War, thanks to the efforts of local residents for whom the church was an integral part of life. However, in the 1960s, the church was still closed. For a long time, it remained closed, and there were even attempts to demolish it, but the villagers opposed this. Now the church building is abandoned: its condition is deplorable, the roof has collapsed, the wooden ceilings inside have fallen, and the structure itself has tilted.
