The Trinity Church in the village of Karmaleyka, Ardatov district, was built in 1863. Initially, only the church part with an elongated refectory was constructed, and the brick bell tower was added later. The volume of the prayer hall was executed according to sample project No. 22 from the Atlas of Plans and Facades of Churches of 1857. The simple shape of the prayer hall is covered with a four-pitched roof with a break and is topped with a small dome. The facade is divided into three parts by pilasters and has two tiers of windows. Deviations from the sample project concerned the design of the window frames of the first tier and the simplified crowning cornice.
