The village of Ivanovskoye-Shuyskoye is located 40 versts from Vladimir and 10 versts from Suzdal, near the wells. In the early 17th century, it belonged to Prince Ivan Ivanovich Shuysky. In 1608, False Dmitry seized this estate from the prince for his disobedience and transferred it to Lev Plescheyev, who did not make use of it as the village was captured by Pan Shumnitsky. After the falsehood ended and with the ascension of Mikhail Fedorovich, Ivanovskoye was returned to Prince Shuysky. He bequeathed it to the Suzdal Cathedral, and the village remained under the cathedral's ownership until 1764, when church estates were confiscated by the treasury.

The church that exists in the village was built in 1778 through the efforts of the parishioners. This stone building has a bell tower, and next to it, a separate warm church was erected in 1838, also made of stone, built with the funds of the parishioners. Both churches and the bell tower are surrounded by a stone fence. The church has two altars: in the cold church, in honor of the Holy Life-Giving Trinity, and in the warm church, in the name of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker.

Church documents have been preserved in full: copies of the metric books since 1780, confession lists since 1826, and an inventory of church property was compiled in 1866. The church land includes: estate land of 1 desyatina 960 square sazhen, arable land of 38 desyatins 580 square sazhen, and haymaking land across two ravines of 2 desyatins 1220 square sazhen; there is a plan and boundary book for this land. According to the staff, the clergy consists of a priest and a psalmist. The clergy receives 270 rubles in silver from the land and 150 rubles in silver from sacramental services, totaling 420 rubles in silver per year. The village has 101 households, 403 men, and 441 women. The Nikolaevskaya Church of the village of Gosteva is attached to the Church of Ivanovskoye-Shuyskoye. Since 1890, a church-parish school has been operating in the village.
