The village of Gorki is located 115 versts from the provincial city and 15 versts from the district town. In the past, it was one of the palace villages owned by the state. Already in the early 17th century, there was a church here, as evidenced by the patriarchal tax records of 1628, which mention "the church of the Life-Giving Trinity in the Kovedyaev stan in the village of Gorki."

In 1685, as noted in the report on the churches of the Pereslavl district from 1799, a new church was built in Gorki thanks to the efforts of the parishioners. In 1827, with funds from the parishioners, a stone church was erected to replace the wooden one, which has survived to this day. At the same time, a stone bell tower was built next to the church. The church has two altars: in the cold part, in the name of the Life-Giving Trinity, and in the warm refectory, in the name of the holy apostles Peter and Paul. The church is well supplied with utensils, vestments, holy icons, and liturgical books. Among the particularly revered icons in the parish, two ancient ones stand out: the Holy Trinity and the Nikitskaya Mother of God.

Church documents are preserved in full: copies of the metric books since 1802 and confession lists since 1828. The land holdings of the church include 18 desyatins of arable land and 8 desyatins of hayfields, as well as plots under the Kirzhach River and roads. There is a plan and boundary book for this land. According to the staff, the parish includes a priest and a psalmist. The income consists of: rent from a flour mill on the river Malyy Kirzhach, 60 rubles, interest from parish capital, 22 rubles, income from services and needs, 200 rubles, from arable and hayfield land, 100 rubles, from secular collections, 40 rubles, totaling about 400 rubles per year. The parish houses are located on church land. The parish includes the village of Gorki and the villages of Novinki, Zubarevo, and Bulkovo, where according to clerical records, there are 291 men and 341 women. There is a zemstvo public school operating in the village of Gorki.
