The Trinity Church in the village of Goreltse was built in 1864, initially in a wooden version, which has survived to this day. In 1881, the stone church was consecrated. Both buildings were erected with the funds of the parishioners. In 1903, a stone fence with iron grilles was built around both churches. The cemetery, located 200 fathoms from the church, is surrounded by a ditch and enclosed with a simple fence. The stone temple has three altars: in honor of the Holy Trinity, the Nativity of Christ, and St. Nicholas. The wooden church has one altar dedicated to the Holy Trinity. In 1909, an unofficial sobriety society was established at the church, and in 1910, thanks to the initiative of Academician Evgeny Evstigneeich Golubinsky of the Imperial Academy of Sciences, a church parish charity was created. Golubinsky expressed a desire to invest capital, the interest from which was to go to help poor parishioners. The distance to Kostroma is 175 versts, to Kologriv, 70 versts.
