In 1881, a church was built in the village in honor of the Holy Life-Giving Trinity, thanks to the efforts of local peasants. In the mid-20th century, the church was closed, looted, and used as a utility building. This sacrilege lasted for many years. However, times have changed, and steps are now being taken to restore the Holy Trinity Church in the village of Golovino. A charitable foundation named after the righteous prince Alexander Nevsky has been established for this purpose, as reported by the foundation's president, priest Gennady Shvitkov.

Like many villages of the former Pokrovsky district, Golovino has its own history, marked by the names of those who worked for the benefit of the community. This is especially true for the construction of the church in honor of the Life-Giving Trinity. The village of Golovino, located on the Volga River, was part of the parish of the church in honor of the Tikhvin Icon of the Mother of God in the village of Ivanovo-Prozorovsk until 1885. Spring floods often cut the village off from the parish church, which was eight versts away. This circumstance created the need for a church of its own, but significant funds were required for this.

In January 2002, priest Andrey Aydarov, the rector of the church in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God in the village of Markovo, arrived in Golovino. He proposed at a village meeting to restore the church, and this proposal was accepted. A starosta and a treasurer were chosen, and gradually donations began to come in. Trash was removed from the church, the basement was cleaned, a temporary roof was installed, and a metal door was put in place.

In 2002, on the day of the Holy Trinity, a procession took place in Golovino, and a spring near the church was consecrated. Villagers came to the feast day with birch branches in hand and participated in the procession. With icons and hymns, they walked through the village, hoping that one day the church would again ring its bells for the Divine Liturgy.

In 2008, the Holy Trinity Church in Golovino, which had been destroyed during the Soviet era, was taken under the care of the recently established Foundation for Assistance and Cooperation named after the righteous prince Alexander Nevsky. With the blessing of Archbishop Evlogy of Vladimir and Suzdal, the foundation continues its work to save the church.

The church has always taught the people spiritual and moral responsibility. Russian sanctuaries were built by the whole world, and today the moment has come when the help of everyone is needed to restore the church in honor of the Life-Giving Trinity in Golovino and to build a Sunday school.
