The village of Georgiyevskoye is located by the ponds, 35 versts from the district town. In ancient times, there was a church in the village, but by the early 17th century it fell into disrepair. From 1638 to 1723, the church land was listed as vacant in the patriarchal books and was rented out. In 1722, a new wooden church was built on the site of the old church in honor of Saint George the Great Martyr, which was taxed in 1728. The church paid 1 ruble, 21 altyn, and 4 dengi annually.

In 1836, the construction of a stone temple began in Georgiyevskoye to replace the wooden one. The refectory was completed and consecrated in 1840, while the construction of the main church and bell tower continued until 1865. The main church was consecrated in 1857. The temple has three altars: the main one in honor of the Life-Giving Trinity, in the refectory, in honor of the Dormition of the Most Holy Theotokos, and Saint George the Great Martyr.

The church is well supplied with utensils, vestments, icons, and liturgical books. Among the valuables are crystal vessels and the altar cross. There are two priests, a deacon, and two psalmists serving in the church. Their maintenance is provided from various sources, amounting to up to 1200 rubles per year. The clergy members have their own houses on church land.

The church land includes 46 desyatins of homestead and arable land, but there are no hayfields, and the sandy soil does not yield income. There is a plan and boundary book for the land. The parish includes the village of Georgiyevskoye and the villages of Alferyevo, Ilino, Potapkovo, Pavlikovo, Obdikhovo, the Zolotkovsky Crystal Factory, and Zakharovo, where the clerical records list 1493 men and 1612 women. A church-parish school operates in the village.
