The Trinity Church was built on a small elevation 500 meters from the banks of the Yenisei River and served as the parish church for the new settlement of the city. The side warm chapels, the northern Sretensky and the southern, of the Life-Giving Source, were laid simultaneously with the main cold church and completed in 1773.

The building is a single-story brick structure oriented along a longitudinal axis. It includes a preserved fragment of the square base, a refectory with two side chapels, and the lower tier of the bell tower. The western facade has one axis of window openings and one door opening. The southern facade consists of seven axes of window openings, including one bricked-up window in the lower tier of the bell tower, four windows in the southern chapel, one window in the church's square base, and one window in the altar of the cold church. The eastern facade has two axes of window openings, one in the altars of the chapel churches. The northern facade also has two axes of window openings, one window in the altar of the chapel church and one window in the square base of the cold church. The roof is four-pitched, modern, and the main entrance is located on the western facade.

Adjoining the longitudinally oriented space of the cold church from the east is a semicircular altar apse, and from the west, a cross-oriented spacious refectory with side chapels. A square narthex adjoins the refectory from the west. The interior of the spacious refectory is developed in a transverse direction, and the spaces of the cold church's refectory and the side chapel churches are connected through wide arched openings.

The lower tier of the building has been preserved, richly decorated with finely profiled decor made of molded brick. The walls are topped with a cornice featuring a metric row of city-style brackets. The corners of the volumes are decorated with wide pilasters adorned with "flaming" niches and panels of quadrifoliate shape with ceramic inserts. The portal of the western entrance is designed as a wide profiled frame with a keel-shaped finish. On either side of the frame are vertical posts made of paired "trikonhs," topped with volutes and columns of modified "Ionic" order.

On the other facades, window and door frames have been preserved in the form of a recessed profiled frame with a keel-shaped top, vertical posts made of paired "trikonhs" on either side of the window openings, topped with balusters, as well as wide pilasters at the corners of the volumes, decorated with "flaming" niches and panels of quadrifoliate shape with ceramic inserts.

The diverse upper tiers of the church and bell tower were characterized by slender proportions and expressive silhouettes. The column-free church of the small octagon on a square base was topped with an elegant five-domed structure, executed in the best traditions of Siberian Baroque. The slender pillar of the multi-tiered bell tower with rhythmically decreasing octagons ascended to the traditions of Moscow Baroque of the late 17th century.

The three-part longitudinal-axial composition of the Trinity Church was later embodied in the Intercession Church in Krasnoyarsk. The lower tier of the building has been preserved with significant losses. This is a sample of church architecture that combines features of Moscow, Ural, and Irkutsk Baroque. It is one of the best works of the "Yenisei school" of Siberian stone architecture and one of the rare examples of stone church construction from the 1770s in Siberia and the Krasnoyarsk region.

In 2019, the restoration of the church was completed. Dismantling works were carried out, foundations were reinforced, and lost elements of the church were recreated, including the church part and the bell tower. Additionally, concrete vaults were constructed, existing brick vaults were repaired, individual rooms and facades were renovated, window and door openings were installed, engineering networks were set up, both internal and external, the territory was landscaped with the reconstruction of brick fencing, a toilet for parishioners was built, and a modular boiler house was installed.
