Trinity Church in Dubrovо (Perm Krai)

In the village of Dubrovо, residents actively discuss the history of the construction and the name of the Dubrovо church. According to Nikolai Fedorovich Suvorin, a representative of the Council for Religious Affairs in Perm Krai, based on the Perm diocesan reports from 1909-1911, the church was consecrated in 1837 and was called Trinity.

The church had two altars. In winter, services were held in the warmer part, and in summer, in the other. The iconostasis attracted special attention with its variety of icons, including the icon of the Holy Virgin, gifted by merchant Moshkov, Nicholas the Wonderworker, Catherine the Great Martyr, martyr Stephen, martyr Paraskeva, the Tikhvin Mother of God, and Christ the Savior. The church also had six pairs of banners.

In 1933-1934, the church was closed, and it did not function for almost ten years. However, on May 9, 1945, on Victory Day, the temple reopened, and a priest arrived with a representative of the district executive committee. The church operated until the early 1960s.

In 1953, a young priest served in the church, later replaced by an elderly one. Two nuns also lived there, who later moved to the village of Kobeli. The last deacon was Ivan Petrovich Olenyev. The church functioned until 1956.

In 1961, the dismantling of the bell tower began. Icons were taken to Osa and not returned. The bell tower was so tall that it could be seen from Malinovaya Mountain. Workers were hired for its demolition, who were paid 1800 rubles. The destruction proved difficult due to the strength of the bricks, as the church was built well, adding raw eggs to the mortar. As a result, the temple was closed again.

Over time, the Church of the Holy Trinity fell into disrepair. In the 1970s-1980s, it was used as a storage facility until 1990. In March 1993, a fire occurred, and residents saved the church by moving icons to the cultural center. The interior was burned, leaving only the walls. Parishioners began to restore the fire-damaged temple.

Restoration work started anew. Elderly women again sought help from enterprises and organizations, bringing utensils and handicrafts to decorate the church. Now they had a leader, Father Oleg, a priest with a construction profession, who worked on the restoration of the temple and conducted services. The residents of Dubrovо decorated the Trinity church, accepting any help. Later, Father Viktor began to lead the services, who, with the help of local residents, restored the roof and floor. In 2005, he left the parish, and Father Gennady from the Yelovskaya church conducts services on holidays.

In 2007, the church celebrated its 170th anniversary. Since 1992, it has been a cultural heritage site of regional significance.
