Until 1764, the parish of Dmitrievsky Pogost was under the jurisdiction of the patriarch, and then it passed to the synodal estate. According to the scribal books of the monastery and church lands of Vladimir district for the years 1637 and 1647, two churches are mentioned in the Vysokoretsky Pogost: in honor of the great martyr Dmitry of Thessalonica and a warm church of Saint Martyr Paraskeva. In addition to the patriarchal villages, there were villages in the Dmitrievsky parish that belonged to the Vladimir Spassky Zolotovratsky Monastery. In 1746, the wooden church of Saint Martyr Paraskeva burned down, and in 1762 a new wooden church was built in honor of Saint Dmitry of Thessalonica. At the same time, there was a church of the Holy Trinity in the pogost, but the exact date of its construction is unknown. In 1767, this church burned down, and by 1772 a new wooden church was erected in honor of the Holy Trinity with an altar dedicated to Saint Martyr Paraskeva.

In 1820, the construction of a stone temple began, which was completed in 1827 when the temple was consecrated. The new temple had three altars: the main one in honor of the Holy Life-Giving Trinity, and in the warm refectory, in honor of Saint Dmitry of Thessalonica and in memory of the Beheading of the Head of Saint John the Baptist. Among the icons, an ancient icon of the Holy Trinity in a silver-gilded robe stood out. An ancient altar Gospel published in 1648 was also kept there.

During the Soviet era, priest Father Alexey Sergievsky was repressed. The church in the pogost was closed in 1937. During the Great Patriotic War, the building housed a workshop for making wire mesh. After the war, it was turned into a workshop of the Golovinsky plant, where cast iron was poured, and this continued until 1953. In the following years, the church remained abandoned.

In November 1999, the church was transferred to the diocese, and parish life resumed there.
