The village of Borovikovo is located in the eastern part of the district, 305 versts from Yekaterinburg and 60 versts from Irbit. It is situated on the left bank of the Nitsa River, in a picturesque and healthy area that was once covered with dense pine forests, some of which have partially survived to this day. The pine forest extending from the eastern and northeastern sides of the village, along with the small Borovaya River flowing nearby, gave the village its name. The soil here is predominantly clayey, with some sandy areas. Thanks to the Nitsa River and the pine forest, the climate in this area is very favorable for health.

The village of Borovikovo was founded in the 1730s by settlers from the village of Pushkareva in the Turinsky district of Tobolsk province. Currently, the population of the parish consists of about 800 men and 788 women, all of whom are Russian and Orthodox. The main occupation of the residents is agriculture, while some engage in trading livestock and grain. In spring and autumn, they go to the Demidov factories to harvest timber.

The independent parish in the village of Borovikovo was established in 1864. In addition to the village itself, the parish includes the village of Subbotina, located 2 versts from Borovikovo.

The stone church in Borovikovo was built in 1862 with funds from the parishioners and consecrated in the name of the Holy Trinity. Initially, it existed without a refectory and bell tower. From 1862 to 1864, the church was attached to the Epiphany Church of the village of Krasnoslobodskoye. In March 1885, unknown malefactors removed three small bells from the church, which were soon found.

In 1888, a refectory and bell tower were added to the church, and it was renovated. Since that year, a church parish school has been operating in the village.
