In 1777, a wooden church was built, which burned down in 1788. After that, another wooden temple was constructed. In 1789, a decree was issued for the construction of a stone church in the name of the Holy Trinity with two warm chapels dedicated to the icon of the Mother of God "Joy of All Who Sorrow" and Saint Jacob of Borovitsa. The main altar was consecrated in 1849.

In 1843, a men's public school opened in the village of Borovitsa, and in 1864, a women's school followed. Both educational institutions were public, and residents of the villages of the Borovitsa parish could study there. The teachers in the schools were priests.

On the territory of the Trinity Church parish, there was a chapel of Zosimas and Savvatiy, the Solovetsky Miracle Workers. According to archival data, the chapel was built in honor of the discovery of the miraculous icon of Zosimas and Savvatiy. There was a custom of the Solovetsky cross procession: after the harvest season, on September 26-27, believers gathered at the Trinity Church in the village of Borovitsa. After the service, honored icons were taken out of the church, and the procession headed towards the village of Velikoretskoe. On the way back, they stopped at the chapel in Lipovskoye, where springs were blessed and a solemn service was held, after which the icons were returned to the temple. The procession concluded with a grand celebration for the entire area. This was recounted by librarian Natalia Vladislavovna Rusin.

After the revolution, the Holy Trinity Church in the village of Borovitsa operated until 1939. The building was then used as an elevator, a school, and a machine-tractor station. The church was damaged and blackened inside, but its walls, built to last, remained strong. Fragments of wall paintings were preserved in the altar.

In the early 1990s, the church was transferred to the ownership of the Murashinsky parish of the Vyatka Diocese. Now, a small part of the former church vestibule has been arranged. For over ten years, Father Stefan has been conducting services, baptisms, funerals, and memorials here monthly.
