The stone church with two altars was built in 1823 with funds from the parishioners. One of the chapels is dedicated to the Archangel Michael. This small building is designed in the classical style. During the Soviet period, the church was closed, and the bell tower was lost. In 1994, the church was handed over to the Kazan Diocese, and since then, services have resumed.

The residents of Bolshaya Shilna had not heard the ringing of bells for a long time. However, since September 2014, their melodies have once again echoed over the village. In the Church of the Holy Life-Giving Trinity, the bells were renewed, as if lifting a vow of silence. The replacement of the bells became necessary, as the old ones had lost their sound due to cracks, and the main voice was missing.

A significant amount of funds was required for the renewal of the ringing, which was collected thanks to the support of entrepreneurs from Chelnы. The new bell tower consists of nine bells, the largest of which weighs 700 kg. The bells were cast from special bronze in Kamensk-Uralsky, Sverdlovsk region. The masters assure that they will sound melodiously both in heat and in 30-degree frost, which is not uncommon for these places.
