On December 6, 2012, a church dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the birth of St. Ambrose of Optina was consecrated in the village of Bolshaya Lipovitsa in the Tambov region. The revival of the church became possible thanks to the joint efforts of many people. Dozens of organizations participated in the construction, and hundreds of people provided charitable assistance. By the blessing of Bishop Theodosius of Tambov and Michurinsk, the names of those who made significant contributions to the construction of the Trinity Church or helped with building materials will be immortalized on memorial plaques.

The new church is built on the homeland of St. Ambrose of Optina, on the site of a church consecrated in 1812, where his grandfather and father served, and where he himself visited in childhood. This church was destroyed in the 1930s. The previous church had chapels dedicated to the Three Saints and Metropolitan Peter. The construction of the new church began in 2006 in honor of the 200th anniversary of the elder's birth. The building has a cubic shape with a trifoliate finish of the walls, an apse, and porches on three sides. A bell tower is installed above the western porch. There are also plans to create a chapel in honor of St. Ambrose of Optina.
