Trinity Church in Bobylyovka

Фото 1
The stone church in the name of the Holy Trinity is the main attraction of the village and an important monument of cult architecture in the Saratov region. Its construction began on June 14, 1831, thanks to the efforts of landowner Alexander Nikolaevich Lvov and the parishioners. The church was consecrated on August 30, 1836. For over one and a half centuries, the warm single-altar church has stood on a hill in the center of the village. In pre-revolutionary times, there were two stone watchmen's lodges nearby. The clergy consisted of a priest, a deacon, and two psalmists, and the houses for the clergy were stone and belonged to the church. Since 1875, a church-parish charity has been operating at the church. During the Soviet years, the church was practically unharmed and is now reopened for parishioners.
