The exact time of the founding of the village of Bestuzhevo is unknown. Local residents claim that the name is connected to the surname of the presumed owners, Bestuzhev-Ryumins, among whom was a well-known executed Decembrist. There was a church in the village.

The Trinity Church was built in 1824 through the efforts of the landowner from the village of Panfilovka, Yegor Stepanovich Babushkin, and the local landowner Fyodor Petrovich Alexeev. The church had three altars: in honor of the Holy Life-Giving Trinity, in the refectory on the right side, in honor of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker, and on the left, in honor of the Kazan Mother of God.

A bell was installed in 1924 but was broken in 1936. Soviet power came to the village in 1918. Currently, a ruined church stands in the village.
