According to the patriarchal accounting books, in 1628, the Church of the Protection of the Most Holy Theotokos in the village of Arbuzevo, owned by the Christmas Monastery, paid a tribute of one ruble and two altyns with money. During the construction of the church in Arbuzevo, a miracle occurred related to the choice of the site for its erection. The residents of the surrounding villages initially chose the highest place in the area, a hill near the village of Pushnino with a beautiful view, for the construction of the church. There they placed a cornerstone and an icon of the Protection of the Most Holy Theotokos, conducting a prayer service. However, the next morning, the stone and the icon miraculously found themselves in Arbuzevo, on the bank of the Ilinka River. They were returned to the originally chosen site, but the next day they ended up back in Arbuzevo again. After the miracle was repeated, the church was laid in Arbuzevo, as if by divine instruction. Thus, a wooden church appeared, on the site of which the stone church now stands, in the name of the Holy Trinity. Over time, local landowners, Fyodor Ivanovich Alyabyev and Nikolai Alexandrovich Shipilov, decided not to repair the old church but to build a new stone church in the name of the Holy Trinity with chapels of the Protection of the Most Holy Theotokos and the Great Martyr Demetrius of Thessalonica. They appealed to Bishop Ksenofont, the ruling hierarch of Vladimir and Suzdal, for permission to build. Permission was granted on September 7, 1805, and construction began the same year.

The construction of the stone church lasted 24 years. From the petition, it follows that the bricks for the construction were fired right in Arbuzevo. Locals claimed that Arbuzevo bricks were even supplied to Moscow. The main summer church took longer to build than the chapels, where services began just four years after receiving the church construction decree. The delay in the construction of the main church may have been due to its complexity or was paused during the 1812 war, as often happened at that time. The main altar of the church in the name of the Holy Trinity was consecrated in 1829.

The church and cemetery are surrounded by a metal fence with stone pillars and gates. After the October Revolution, persecution of the clergy of the Trinity Church began. In 1931, the Ivanovo Regional Executive Committee prohibited the ringing of bells, and the Sobinsky District Executive Committee immediately began to enforce this decision. However, thanks to the efforts of priests Alexander Tikhonravov and Vladimir Kutuzov, as well as parishioners, the ringing of bells was preserved until 1935. The church continued to operate in the area. Since the 1990s, the Arbuzevo has housed a dependency of the Vladimir Assumption Knyaginino Monastery.
