The Church of the Holy Trinity is one of the most unique religious buildings in the region, representing a rare example of a three-domed church from the mid-17th century.

The temple has a rectangular shape and is elongated along the east-west axis, standing on a high basement. Its narrow central part is a cross-oriented square, which was originally topped with three domes arranged in a line, with the central dome being a lantern. The side parts include a rectangular altar and a square single-column refectory.

The facade decoration of the Trinity Church, unlike that of the cathedral, reflects its internal structure. A wide cornice, simply profiled and absent only on the side facades of the refectory, separates the basement from the main floor. Smooth pilasters frame the corners of the building and mark the joints of the internal walls that separate the temple, altar, and refectory, as well as divide the eastern part into the sacrificial altar, altar, and deacon's room. A wide multi-tiered cornice completes the volumes, and a fragment of an attic belt with kokoshniks has survived above the northern part of the square. Numerous openings of various shapes and traces of bricking indicate multiple alterations of the church. The original windows of the main floor, later enlarged, had triangular or keel-shaped pediments, the traces of which are visible on the facades of the altar and the western side of the refectory. Large openings with arched lintels on the northern facade of the refectory date back to the 19th century. It is likely that at that time high openings were created on the side facades of the square, replacing the original windows, with icon cases above them. Later, small arched windows appeared in deep embrasures, located above the icon cases, with a curved cornice above them. Significant changes are visible on the southern facade of the refectory, where three window openings from the 19th century were cut into the bricked arches, between which small windows were pierced. On this side, a porch or gallery on vaults adjoined the refectory, from which the bases have survived. The original entrances are located on the northern facade, leading to the basement of the altar part, and in the center of the western facade.

Inside, the basement consists of three rooms: the main and altar rooms, covered with transverse barrel vaults, and a single-column refectory. The vaults of the main floor, except for the altar part covered with three parallel barrel vaults, have not survived. However, archival data and surveys suggest that the refectory also had the appearance of a single-column vaulted chamber, and the square was topped with a transverse trough vault with a pierced lantern of the central dome.
