The church, dedicated to the universal teachers and hierarchs Basil the Great, Gregory the Theologian, and John Chrysostom, was built in Tyumen in 1862 thanks to the efforts of merchants Ivan and Fyodor Diakonov. It is located at the Parfenovo cemetery, which is over 400 years old. The church had a parish school, a clergy house, a bathhouse, wooden structures, and arable land belonging to the church community.

On March 5, 1932, the church was closed by the Soviet authorities, and the iconostasis was destroyed. In the 1930s, its courtyard and premises were used as a club and a transit point for exiled peasants. During the Great Patriotic War, ammunition was stored here. At the end of the war, a bakery was organized in the building, supplying bread to the settlements of Mys, Yar, and Parfenovo. In the 1950s, the church housed a film archive where old films were stored, and later the building was used by the City Utilities. From 1957, a funeral bureau was located here, with a small office in the narthex, while the main part of the church remained vacant.

In 1968, the cemetery was closed, and the church remained abandoned for 20 years.

The new history of the church began in 1988. In June of that year, the building was handed over to the church community in a deplorable state: without a dome, which had burned down, with two holes in the ceiling, without a roof, with crumbling walls and a foundation affected by mold. The building was officially transferred to the parish by an act dated August 23, 1991. The parishioners of the All Saints Church, to which the church was assigned, began its restoration.

The parish repaired the church with its own efforts: a roof was made, a bell tower was built, crosses were installed, the walls were plastered and whitewashed, the floor and porch were replaced, and most importantly, the iconostasis was restored. In 1989, the first services began to be held in the church. On July 12, 1990, the Church of the Three Holy Hierarchs was consecrated by Bishop Anthony of Tobolsk and Tyumen, and Priest Sergey Kistin was appointed as the rector.

The parish has a refectory and prosphora, wooden buildings, a stone warehouse, a garage, and a carpentry workshop. In 1992, a library was opened, and in 1993, a Sunday school for adults (20 people) and children (50 people). Later, a pavilion was built for the sale of church utensils and ritual items.
