The village of Goloperovo, located by the ponds, is 18 versts from the district town and 145 versts from the provincial capital. In the early 17th century, it belonged to various landowners. According to the scribal books of 1628, the village was recorded as belonging to K. S. Beklemishev, a clerk of the food palace of M. I. Korobov, and Prince F. R. Shakhovsky, to whom it was transferred in 1619 by the widow Aigustova. Even at that time, there was a church in Goloperovo dedicated to the three saints: Basil the Great, Gregory the Theologian, and John Chrysostom. However, further information about this church is quite limited. In the documents of the Patriarchal Treasury, there is only a record from 1705 about the issuance of an antimins for the newly built Church of the Three Saints in Goloperovo, indicating that a new church was constructed by that time.

In 1807, with the funds of the parishioners, a stone temple with a bell tower was built to replace the previous wooden church, which still exists today. The temple has three altars: in the cold part in honor of the Three Saints, in the warm refectory in honor of the Protection of the Holy Virgin and the saints Cosmas and Damian. The church is well supplied with utensils, vestments, holy icons, and liturgical books. All church documents have been preserved intact: copies of the metric books since 1805 and confession lists since 1809. According to the staff, the clergy consists of a priest and a psalmist, their income amounts to: 17 rubles from arable land, 4 rubles from interest on the parish capital, 52 rubles from bread collection, and up to 505 rubles from services and needs, totaling about 580 rubles per year. The houses of the clergy members are located on church land.

The church has 3 dessiatinas of estate land and 30 dessiatinas of arable land, among which there is a little haymaking; there is a plan and boundary book for the land. The parish includes the village and the villages: Kosheleva, Romanki, Martynki, Ivkina, and Kuzminki, where according to the clerical records, there are 508 men and 599 women, all Orthodox. There are two public schools in the parish: a zemstvo school in Goloperovo, where 40 students were taught in 1893, and a school at the Pavlovsky glass factory, where 50 people studied in the same year.
