Finally, we are presented with the stone church of the Tikhvin Icon of the Mother of God in the village of Mameshevo, Pilninsky District of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, which was almost destroyed in 1939 as part of a plan to eliminate Orthodox shrines in Russia. The village of Baleevo, known as the village of Bolevo until 1825, was the parish village of the Tikhvin church of Mameshevo in the Zhdanov volost of the Kurmysh district of the Simbirsk province until 1919. Landowners, serfs, state peasants, and private peasants of the village were parishioners of this church. They visited confession and communion every year with their families.

For a full 80 years, a case regarding the liquidation of the church in the village of Mameshevo, dated February 11 and July 19, 1939, was kept in the Central Archive of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, containing sketches of two churches in the village: stone and wooden. Unfortunately, photographs of the church have not survived in open sources. However, it can be assumed that at least one photograph exists in some archive in Russia, a private collection, or a family archive of descendants from the village of Mameshevo.
