According to the order of the Department for the Protection of Historical and Cultural Heritage of Nizhny Novgorod and the Nizhny Novgorod Region dated April 24, 2000, the church in Mamkino was recognized as an object of historical and cultural heritage. It was built in the 19th century, in 1822.

As of 1850, there were three settlements in this area: the villages of Bolshoye and Maloye Mamkino and the village of Keza. Notably, next to the name Keza, the Chornoramen Monastery is mentioned, where the church was erected in honor of the Tikhvin Mother of God. According to the "Address Calendar of the Nizhny Novgorod Diocese" for 1904, the church had two altars: the main cold one dedicated to the Tikhvin Mother of God, and a warm chapel in honor of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker.

In October 1965, the villages of Maloye and Bolshoye Mamkino, as well as the nearby Keza, were merged into a single settlement called Mamkino. Thus, the church ended up on the territory of the new village. The name "Chornoramen Monastery" was likely forgotten over time. Most likely, the church was finally closed and destroyed in the 1960s.
