The entrance to the Holy Trinity Monastery is through the Holy Gates, built in 1700. Above the gates is a church dedicated to the Tikhvin Icon of the Mother of God, which was constructed from 1700 to 1702 with funds from the monk of the monastery, Elder Ephraim, known in the world as Prince I. P. Baryatinsky. This single-domed brick church is designed in the Moscow Baroque style. In the late 18th century, the church housed the church archive. In 1889, the church resumed its activities.
