In the 1990s, before the church building was constructed, services were held in a railway carriage that was donated to the parish. Its setup took a year: parishioners independently painted, paneled the walls, laid the floor, and installed electricity. The first service in the carriage-church, dedicated to Saint Tikhon, took place in 1994 on the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord. Nevertheless, work on the setup continued. With the appearance of wooden and stone churches, a charitable refectory and a storage for church utensils were established here. On September 12, 2012, the carriage was moved to the territory of the Kstovo Deanery.

In 1996, projects for a wooden church in honor of Saint Tikhon and a church in honor of John the Baptist were developed and approved. In 1997, the construction of the central church of the deanery, dedicated to Saint Tikhon and the new martyrs and confessors of Russia, was completed.

On Great Saturday, April 18, 2009, the bell tower and bells were consecrated, and on April 23, Metropolitan Georgy of Nizhny Novgorod and Arzamas conducted the Great Paschal Vigil in the central church of the deanery. The church remains the main one for the Voskresensky Deanery, where services are held daily, and on festive and Sunday days, the liturgies are led by the dean of the district.

On December 31, 2009, the Tikhon Church hosted the consecration of a copy of the icon of Saint Great Martyr Panteleimon from Vyksa, which contains a relic of the saint.
