The first mentions of the Russian Orthodox community in honor of the Holy Life-Giving Trinity in the "Research Triangle" area of North Carolina date back to 1991. Services were then held in private homes and apartments. In August 2007, the parish acquired a plot of land and a building on Highway 70 between the towns of Efland and Mebane. In the new premises, an iconostasis was installed, heating, air conditioning, and insulation were provided, and the walls were plastered.

The official website of the parish notes that today the community is actively developing in various directions, serving not only as a bastion of Orthodoxy for all nations on American soil but also as a significant spiritual and moral compass and stronghold of true human values. In the future, in addition to services, there are plans to implement a variety of social, family, and educational programs.
