The Church of Saint Eudocia the Great Martyr was built in 1734, presumably funded by Eudocia Ivanovna Miklyaeva, the widow of merchant Ivan Afanasyevich Miklyaev. However, no documentary evidence has been found to confirm this fact.

The main altar of the church is consecrated in honor of the Uncreated Image of the Savior, but the church is named after the chapel dedicated to Saint Eudocia of Iliopolis. In Kazan, the church's name is associated with Eudocia Ivanovna Miklyaeva.

The parish of the Church of Eudocia consisted of poor residents and was considered one of the poorest in Kazan.

In 1895, the church was expanded, with a porch and a tented chapel added to the northwest side.

The church was closed in 1932, after which it was used for various economic needs.

In the second half of the 1990s, the church was returned to the faithful, and services resumed. After its return, restoration work was carried out, and new iconostases were installed.

The Church of Saint Eudocia is an interesting example of a pillarless three-part single-apsidal church, an octagon on a square, executed in the style of provincial baroque. The building is made of brick and plastered. The composition of the church is characterized by compactness and integrity.

To the low square, lowered structures, a short rounded altar, and a rectangular refectory with a three-tiered bell tower are attached.

The northern chapel was added later. The wide light octagon is crowned with a domed roof with a cylindrical drum, decorated with arcatures, and is topped with a small onion dome.

The modest external decoration of the facades includes typically baroque decorations of the window openings, the square, the refectory, and the bell tower, flat pilasters with half-columns supporting figured pediments. The window openings of the octagon are framed with simple-profile moldings. The architectural composition of the bell tower repeats elements of the main church, but instead of a domed roof, it has a tented one.

The interior is dominated by the main space of the church with a transition to the octagon through stepped trompes and a vaulted eight-section ceiling.
