The Church of Saint Equal-to-the-Apostles Great Prince Vladimir, located in the Lower Kurya area of Perm, is a significant architectural monument among the churches of the Perm region. Built in 1906 as a summer church for the Perm Archiepiscopal residence, it was erected with funds from the Archiepiscopal residence and many benefactors. The church served as a place to meet the religious needs of the residents of the summer village, primarily representatives of the intelligentsia, as well as residents of nearby villages.

The Prince Vladimir Church is a vivid example of "pre-Petrine architecture." With its imitation of traditional forms of Russian architecture and rich wooden carvings, it had a festive and fairy-tale appearance, adorning the picturesque bank of the Kama River.

After the revolution, the fate of the church, where services were held by the highest clergy of the Perm diocese, became typical for many religious buildings. During the Soviet era, the land and the church itself were declared public property, and a sanatorium called "Rest House" was organized on its territory. As a result of numerous reconstructions and repairs, the appearance of the church changed somewhat.

With great difficulty and the efforts of the faithful, the Church of Saint Equal-to-the-Apostles Great Prince Vladimir was returned. However, after the building was transferred to the Pokrovsky parish of the Perm diocese, the church suffered from a fire that destroyed part of the already restored building. Thanks to the help of benefactors and parishioners, under the guidance of the rector, the church was restored to its former appearance.

Materials from the archive of the Perm Special Scientific Restoration Management were used in writing this work. A Sunday school and a choir school operate at the church.
