The history of the parish in the Pyshminsky factory, now known as the village of Staropyshminsk, begins in 1809. On March 17, with the blessing of Bishop Justin of Perm, Archpriest Karpinsky laid the foundation of the church. Before this, the residents of the Pyshminsky factory attended the Catherine Cathedral in Yekaterinburg, and since 1765, the Trinity Church of the Berezovsky factory, in which they participated in the construction. The new church was built with funds from the manager Ivan Gavrilovich Shevkunov, as well as voluntary donations from across the Perm diocese. The walls and bell tower were made of wood.

By the end of 1809, the building was nearly completed. Sacred vessels were ordered from Moscow, and the iconostasis was acquired from the Yekaterinburg Church of the Descent of the Holy Spirit, having been refurbished. By early 1810, the church had a copper-silvered cross, a chalice, and a censer, as well as three bells, the largest of which weighed 4 puds and 13 pounds. On February 9, 1810, the church was consecrated in honor of the Meeting of the Lord by Father Ivan Popov.

In 1828, the Meeting Church was a wooden building, plastered inside and out, with heating. The sacred vessels were silver, and there was also a silver cross, a censer, copper candlesticks, and lamps. The bell tower housed 6 bells with a total weight of 69 puds. By 1836, a wooden fence appeared around the church, and the building was covered with an iron roof painted malachite green. The clergy were allocated haymaking lands. According to data from 1844, the parish included the villages of Stanovaya and Sarapulka with dissenting chapels.

In 1882, the construction of a new stone church began. On May 2, 1882, the archpriest Vasily Lukanin laid the new building. On July 5, 1887, the new church was consecrated by Bishop Nafanail in honor of the Meeting of the Lord. The wooden church remained a filial church. There were also two chapels in the Pyshminsky factory.

According to data from 1904, there were stone and wooden Meeting churches and a Transfiguration chapel in the Pyshminsky factory. The number of parishioners was 2,242. The church owned 7 desyatinas of land and a church house. The clergy consisted of a priest and a psalmist.

According to information from 1915, there were two Meeting churches and three chapels in the Pyshminsky factory. The church owned estate land, haymaking, and a house for the priest.

After the 1917 revolution, the wooden Meeting church operated until 1938, after which it burned down. The stone church functioned until 1941. In the spring of 1941, the Berezovsky district council petitioned for the closure of the church. Meetings of residents were held in the village, proposing to convert the church into a pioneer club.

On March 7, 1941, the Sverdlovsk regional executive committee approved the petition to close the church, and the building was transferred to a pioneer club. The church in Staropyshminsk has endured much over the centuries. Rain, snow, and human ingratitude have left their mark: many still remember the Meeting Church, which stood for a long time without crosses and domes, with broken windows.
