Above the northern gates of the monastery, a temple is being built in honor of St. Spyridon of Trimythous, founded in June 2005. The temple, made of unique artistic brickwork, astonishes contemporaries who find it hard to believe that it is not an ancient building. Initially, it was planned to build a temple from carved stone, similar to the temple of St. Nicholas in Nice, the image of which the mother saw in a calendar. The photograph was shown to an architect from Pereslavl, asking him to develop a project. However, time passed, and the project never appeared. Meanwhile, the workers began laying the bricks, but after the construction of the archway, the work stopped as a project was required. The mother went to the architect to find out the reason for the delay. The architect explained that he could not create the project for three reasons: the roof of the temple is not suitable for the Russian climate, special orders are required for the bricks, which is very complicated and expensive, and there are no specialists for such complex masonry. The mother returned empty-handed.

Upon returning to the monastery, she met another architect, Nikolai from Yaroslavl, who was working on the domes of the temple of Blessed Xenia of Petersburg. She showed him the photograph of the temple in Nice and asked if it was possible to build something similar here. Nikolai confidently replied that it was possible, and specialists would be found. The mother blessed him to search for such masters. The next day, Nikolai made a sketch of the temple, and a few days later he called from Yaroslavl, informing that he had found a master. He had accidentally met his old friend, also named Nikolai, whom he had not seen for 10 years. It turned out that he was engaged in artistic masonry and created unique carved elements in an antique style. Thus, the construction of the temple began. On the feast day, December 25, a night service is held in the temple. On this day, many devotees of St. Spyridon gather in Solba. The monastery often receives letters addressed to St. Spyridon, and a special box for letters is installed in the temple. Everyone is welcome to come, pray, light a candle, and ask for help, and the Lord performs miracles through the prayers of the saint.
