In the village of Spass in the Rybinsk district, the ruins of the Church of the Merciful Savior, built in the style of late classicism, have been preserved. An extensive village cemetery adjoins the church. According to a description from 1908, the Church of the Merciful Savior of the Not-Made-By-Hands Image was made of stone and was a parish church. It had three altars: the main one in the cold part, dedicated to the Savior of the Not-Made-By-Hands Image, in the winter church in the right chapel, the Entry into the Temple of the Mother of God, and in the left chapel, in honor of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker. The church was built in 1828 with funds from the parishioners. A stone chapel with a fence was erected in 1836. The church owned 36 desyatins of homestead, arable, and haymaking land, as well as 22 desyatins and 1360 fathoms of firewood forest, totaling 58 desyatins and 1360 fathoms. Two wooden houses were built for the priests' residence. The church capital amounted to 9670 rubles in paper money. Currently, the church is in a state of ruin.

In 2010, local residents expressed a desire to begin the restoration of the church, and project documentation is now being prepared.
