Timokhovo, a village in the Myshkin district, located 30 km west of the city of Myshkin. It has been known since the 16th century as the estate of the noble Novikov family. According to a decree from the Yaroslavl Spiritual Consistory dated October 3, 1873, the church in Timokhovo was annexed to the church of the village of Arkhangelsk, and services there were conducted by a priest from Arkhangelsk. In 1878, the village was part of the united Arkhangelsk parish along with the village of Arkhangelsk.

The temple complex of Timokhovo includes a wooden church built in 1757, a stone church from 1902, a wooden hexagonal bell tower, a fence, Holy Gates, and a chapel. The wooden church has preserved an iconostasis with carved wooden gates and a collection of medieval icons, among which stands out a large icon of the "Not Made by Hands Savior."

In the early 20th century, a respected priest, Father Mikhail Zenlenetsky, served in Timokhovo, known for his ability to heal, especially mental ailments. With his involvement, a school, a charitable institution, and houses for pilgrims appeared in the village. In 1919, Father Mikhail was repressed.
