Church of the Transfiguration in Spas-Sedchino

Фото 1
Previously, the village was part of the Murom district, and mentions of it can be found in Dobronravov's works. The first documentary references to the church and the village of Spas-Sedchino are recorded in the revenue books of 1676, where the Church of the All-Merciful Savior is mentioned. Initially, it was wooden.

In 1836, a stone temple with a bell tower was built in its place, and in 1867, the refectory part of the church was expanded. The church has two altars: the main one is dedicated to the Transfiguration of the Lord Jesus Christ, and in the warm chapel, to the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God.
