In 1824, a new stone church with three altars was consecrated in the village of Sosnovsk in honor of the Uncreated Image of the Savior. The main altar is dedicated to the Uncreated Image of the Savior. The left chapel is arranged in honor of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker, while the right chapel is in memory of the martyrs Flora and Lavra, after whom the first wooden church of the village was named. The feast day of the martyrs Flora and Lavra is celebrated on August 31.

It is worth mentioning those who faithfully served in the Sosnovsk Savior Church in the second half of the 19th and early 20th centuries until its closure. From 1866 to 1875, Priest Mikhail Veselovsky served here, along with Semyon Fyodorovich Podluzhinsky, psalmist Semyon Uspensky, and sexton Alexander Petrovich Troitsky.

From 1878 to 1904, the rector of the church was Semyon Ivanovich Nevsky. Since 1891, Priest Dmitry Nikitovich Zefirov served here. The psalmists during this time were Nikolai Vinogradov, Alexander Troitsky, Vasily Alekseevich Nikolsky, Vasily Vasilyevich Alekseevsky, Ivan Delfinov, and Nikolai Drozdov.

Before the October Revolution of 1917, the Law of God was taught in every school, and a church servant was usually appointed as the law teacher. In larger schools, this was a priest appointed by the Nizhny Novgorod bishop. From October 1898, Priest Izmail Alexandrovich Benediktov was appointed as the law teacher, serving until the end of 1917.

In 1918, persecution of the church began. The Soviet government destroyed many churches and eradicated the concept of church parishes. The church was separated from the state, and schools from the church. Law teachers and priests were expelled from schools, leading to the closure of most church-parish schools. There were 10 such schools in the Sosnovsk district. Many students ceased their education, and only a few transferred to zemstvo schools. The communists actively engaged in anti-religious activities, closing and destroying churches.

In August 1993, the church parish was returned the building of the temple, and on August 20, its consecration took place. People gradually gathered for the service led by a priest invited from Pavlov. Elderly women, with tears in their eyes, crossed themselves, recalling how their ancestors built the Savior Church. The first priest after the revival of the parish was Sergey Sheldakov. Over the years, the community was served by priests Roman Neverov, Vitaly Ovchinnikov, Sergey Lukoyanov, Dmitry Orlov, Maxim Kozlov, Ilya Trushkin, and Roman Sosinovich. Currently, the rector of the church is priest Andrey Filatov.

The church is being restored and renewed, although it faces financial difficulties. In the summer of 2009, a gilded cross was installed as a symbol of the victory of Orthodoxy. On the winter Nikola, December 19, 2007, a nine-ton dome was erected on the temple. In February 2012, a five-tiered iconostasis appeared in the church.
