The Transfiguration Church in the village of Pilekshево was built in 1854 through the efforts of parishioners and landowner Boris Prutchinko. In 1891, the building underwent major repairs. The stone church was sturdy, with an iron roof, and could accommodate many worshippers. It was surrounded by a stone fence. Later, the church was closed and converted into a school.

Currently, the church is abandoned and in extremely dilapidated condition. Remnants of frescoes are still visible on the ceiling and walls. The roof and interior furnishings are missing, but iron grilles remain on the windows. Everything that was left was destroyed by a fire in 2008.
