The church in honor of the Transfiguration of the Lord, described in the Encyclopedia "Monasteries and Churches of Yaroslavl Land", was built in 1830. Funds for its construction came from parishioners, benefactors, and the treasury, thanks to the advocacy of landowner Popova. This stone structure has five domes and a tiered bell tower.

The church has two altars: one dedicated to the Transfiguration of the Lord, and the other to Archangel Michael and other heavenly Powers. The icon of the Mother of God "It is Truly Meet" Merciful, sent from Athos, received special veneration.

According to data from 1859, there were 4 households in the Kadano village by the Egobozha River, and in the village of Brynchagi, there were 54 households.
