The order of the Department for the Protection of Historical and Cultural Heritage of Nizhny Novgorod and the Nizhny Novgorod Region dated April 24, 2000, No. 5-OD included the rural Church of the Transfiguration in the list of historical and cultural heritage sites. The church dates back to the 19th century. However, according to the data from the State Heritage Protection Office of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, this order lost its validity on October 20, 2014, in accordance with order No. 159. The "Address Calendar of the Nizhny Novgorod Diocese" for 1904 states that the stone church in the village was likely built in 1876. The altars of the church: the main altar is dedicated to the Transfiguration of the Lord, while the chapels are dedicated to Archangel Michael and Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker.
