The ceremony of consecration of the Orthodox church in the Ust-Medveditsky Spaso-Transfiguration Monastery will take place on September 7, 2014, in Serafimovich. The construction of the shrine was initiated by the bishop of the Russian Orthodox Church, Metropolitan of Volgograd and Kamyshin, head of the Volgograd Metropolis, German, as reported by Volga-Media.

The work on the construction of the church in honor of the Transfiguration of the Lord, featuring 33 domes symbolizing the earthly years of Jesus Christ, began in the monastery back in 2003. In the last two years, finishing works have been carried out, and now the church is ready for opening. The rite of great consecration will be conducted by Metropolitan German of Volgograd and Kamyshin and Bishop Elisei of Uryupinsk and Novoanninsk.
