The Transfiguration Church was founded in 1696 but was not fully completed and consecrated until 1813. The building is made of brick in the style of "four on four," covered with a vault and adorned with an octagonal lantern with one dome. The foundations are made of boulders. The lower square with three low arched passages resembles a triumphal arch. Above the cubic base rises the square of the church, surrounded by a covered gallery, while the main volume is covered by a vault.

The altar has three apses, with the northern apse serving as the entrance from the inner courtyard to the church. To give the relatively small building a sense of grandeur, the architect avoided fragmented divisions of the facade, decorating it with a portal of the Doric order, two rows of skylights for illuminating the gallery, and pilasters at the corners.

From 2007 to 2013, restoration of the facades and interiors was carried out, the domes and roof were renewed, and the crosses were restored and gilded.
