The village of Semovo is located in the Lyskovsky district. According to the order of the Department for the Protection of Historical and Cultural Heritage of Nizhny Novgorod and the Nizhny Novgorod Region dated April 24, 2000, No. 5-OD, the rural Savior Church was recognized as an object of historical and cultural heritage. The church dates back to 1745. However, according to the data from the State Heritage Protection Office of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, this order lost its validity on October 20, 2014, according to order No. 159.
