In 1880, the church departments, refectory, and the former cold church were combined into one warm temple. The temple has two altars: a summer one dedicated to the Most Merciful Not Made by Hands Image, and a refectory one in the name of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker. The annual church holiday is celebrated on August 16. The church was built in 1776 through the efforts of the nobleman Ivan Vasilyevich Dedyulin and the parishioners on the site of the Church of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary. It is believed that before 1776, on the other side of the stream, there was a church in honor of the Great Martyr George. This assumption is confirmed by the land registry, where one side of the village is called Annunciation, now Spasskaya, and the other, Georgievskaya.

The church lands comprise 39 desyatins and 949 square fathoms, of which 37 desyatins and 2390 square fathoms are arable. The priest's house was built in 1879, and the psalmist's house in 1905. The church-school capital amounts to 1555 rubles. The parish has 300 men and 346 women. The village is located on a hill and is divided by a seasonal stream into two parts, being 6 versts from the city of Romanov. The parish has a church-parish guardianship and a church-parish school with an endowment of 402 rubles. The staff includes positions for a priest and a psalmist. The parish capital in securities amounts to 3884 rubles and 75 kopecks, and the salary for the clergy from the treasury is 392 rubles.
