The Savior Church in the Morozovskaya Sloboda was built in 1757 thanks to the efforts of parishioner Mikhail Semyonovich Sukovatitsin. This stone single-story building is connected to the bell tower. The church has altars in honor of the Savior Not Made by Hands, the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos, and Saint Peter, Metropolitan of Moscow. In 1755, it was located in Morozovskaya Slobodka, in the southern third of the Ustyug district, and by 1859 it was in the state village of Morozovitsa, in the 1st stan of the Ustyug district, by Lake Istok.

In the village of Pukhovo, a stone chapel was built in the name of the Righteous John, the Ustyug Miracle Worker, between 1899 and 1901. In 1788, the parish had 1,016 members, and by 1868, their number had increased to 1,600.

In 1937, the rural cemetery at the church was closed and demolished, and its territory was transferred to the Veliky Ustyug MTS. In 1938, the church was also closed and handed over to the Tregubovsky village council for use as a workshop for tractor repairs.
