In the last quarter of the 17th century, the settlement of Mitino was a state plowed village. The land registry of that time describes the former church of the village of Mitino as: "A wooden church in the name of the Not Made by Hands Most Merciful Savior." The interior decoration of the temple was quite rich, with icons adorned with golden coins. The church was fully equipped with church books and utensils.

All the icons, books, bells, and church buildings were created with the funds of Elder Avraamy and the parishioners. The church was built in 1645. Around it was a fence with gates covered with shingles. On the church land was the yard of priest Lavrenty Maximov, as well as half a dozen of estate land and one and a half acres of arable land. From the peasant lands, there were 6 acres in the field and 2 acres of hay meadows.

The wooden church in Mitino existed until 1837, when the construction of a stone church began. The refectory was built and consecrated in 1837, and the construction of the main church was completed in 1861, with consecration taking place in 1862. The church has two altars: the main one, in honor of the Not Made by Hands Savior, and in the warm refectory, in the name of the holy martyr Paraskeva. The church is decorated with holy icons and equipped with utensils and vestments, but had nothing remarkable in terms of antiquity or value.

In 1873, the parish was called "Mitino, Nevadyevsky." The Savior Church in the village of Mitino was affiliated with the Friday Church in the Nevadyevsky Pogost.

In 1873, the clergy included the rector of the Nevadyevsky Pogost, Ivan Pokrovsky, the assistant priest of the village of Mitino, Andrey Gorsky, psalmists Philipp Schastlivtsev and Alexey Tselebrovsky, as well as Ivan Kapatsinsky.

In 1891, a church-parish school operated in the village of Mitino, where 25 people were educated in 1896.

According to data from 1897, the parish included the village of Mitino and the villages: Kamenok, Sukhareva, Terpishki, Ganina, and Krasnova. They had 212 households, 705 men, and 814 women.

In the 1930s, the priest of the village of Mitino was Illarion Zakharovich Kubantsev, who was arrested in 1935 and sentenced to 1.5 months of imprisonment.

Today, the former church in the name of the Not Made by Hands Savior is in a ruined state.
