The Church of the Smolensk Mother of God, built of stone in 1812 with funds from parishioners, is noted for its durability. It has three altars: the main summer altar in honor of the Smolensk Mother of God and two chapels in the refectory, where services are held in winter, dedicated to Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker and Saint Martyr Cyprian. Surrounding the church are three chapels: the first, wooden on a stone foundation, is in the churchyard, on the site of the former wooden church; the second, stone, is located on the street of the village of Nikolskoye on Trope; the third, wooden, was built in 1888 near the village of Konyayeva.

The church owns 39 desyatins and 598 square fathoms of land. There are four church houses: two for the residence of priests, a third for the psalmist, and in the fourth stone house, located in the churchyard, there is a shelter for poor parishioners, supported by the local church parish charity. The church capital amounts to 2466 rubles in bonds.

In the village of Nikolskoye, there are 123 men and 167 women, and the total parish consists of 1030 men and 1314 women. Previously, the parishioners were monastery peasants and belonged to the Nikolotrop Monastery, which was located on the site of the current parish church. After the monastery was abolished and the peasants were transferred to state ownership, they became state peasants.

The parish is located on a plain, without rivers, 30 versts from Rybinsk. There are two public schools and a free library operating in it. One of the schools, a zemstvo school, is in the village, while the other, a church-parish school, is located in the village of Oboltino. The church-parish charity also manages the shelter for poor parishioners. The charity's funds include a donated capital of 11,966 rubles in bonds, collections in the church, and voluntary donations. The clergy consists of two priests, a deacon, and two psalmists, with the parish capital in securities amounting to 8886 rubles.
